Nancy Erika Smith Selected as the NJAJ Recipient for the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism’s Lawyer of the Year Award
September 29, 2014The New Jersey Association for Justice recently announced that Nancy Erika Smith, Esq. has been selected to be NJAJ’s recipient of the 2014 Professional Lawyer of the Year Award conferred by the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law.
The award is presented annually to lawyers who demonstrate outstanding character, competence and exemplary professional conduct. The recipients are chosen by county and specialty bar associations throughout New Jersey.
Nancy is an extremely deserving recipient of this honor. She has spent her career helping people defend their rights in employment and civil rights cases.
She is a founder of Wynona’s House, a non-profit child advocacy center in Newark that promotes a multi-disciplinary approach to finding justice for abused children.
Nancy is a member of NJAJ’s Board of Governors and is a Co-Chair of our Employment Law Section.
Nancy will receive her award at the 2014 Professionalism Awards luncheon on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at The Imperia in Somerset, NJ.
